Fairways GM delivers sprayer, utility vehicle, and top dresser to Bonnyton GC

“We’re impressed by the Gambetti. The improvement in spraying accuracy and quality is immediate. Everything is now to a higher standard; the hydraulic booms and induction chamber make life easier for the three of us who use it. There are lots of incremental benefits that just make a better job. We also expect the same from the new top dresser; the bigger hopper instantly means it is more productive than before. We planned these upgrades for the new season, and we are off to a positive start.”

Two further Wiedenmann Terra Spikes strengthen aeration programme at Fife Golf Trust

Fife Golf Trust, which maintains seven municipal golf courses across the region, has strengthened its aeration capability with the addition of two further Wiedenmann Terra Spike deep aerators.

Operating on behalf of Fife Council, the Trust looks after Dunnikier Park, Glenrothes, Scoonie, Cowdenbeath, Kinghorn, Auchterderran and Lochore Meadows. The latter two are nine-hole courses, while the other five are full 18-hole layouts. Together the seven venues host more than 160,000 rounds of golf each year, with over 3800 season ticket holders making efficient turf maintenance essential.

Jacobsen GP400 transforms mowing routine at Aberfoyle GC

Greenkeepers Alan More and Dougie Steele, at the club for 30 and 28 years respectively, have long favoured Jacobsen mowers for their reliability and quality of finish.

Alan said:
“We’ve always used a Jacobsen greens mower because it gives a precise cut. We want the ‘Jake signature cut.’ We’ve mainly cut by hand in the past, but we know the GP400 can match that standard, so we feel confident going into next season. The machine is in the shed ready for spring when the grass starts to go again and the conditions are right.”
