The new 9700e is in effect a fully electric remote controlled tractor unit which runs on tracks, it can run a wide range of implements and can even operate on steep slopes.
Andy Kerr, lead demonstrator for Agria UK and Wiedenmann UK, said:
“The great thing about this new machine is that its carbon neutral and 100% electric. Imagine something with as much power as a 30 hp tractor, working essentially as a base unit. Next, attach a mowing deck, or a flail decks or other accessories, using a CAT 1 standard 3-point linkage, and there you have it…”
“While it can climb inclines of 50 degrees it is also amazing on the level,” continued Andy Kerr. “If you have implements weighing less than 300 kg then the 9700e should be able to take them PTO driven. You can have it pull a surface conditioner then with the flick of a switch it can push a front mounted brush, so bi-directional with fully adjustable speed. It’s pretty special and lots of people want to see it. We are taking it to show to people across the UK and Ireland”.
The 9700e moves technology forward. It creates a host of exciting new opportunities.
