Douneside House, by Royal Deeside, is an exquisite dining and lodging experience set within the grounds of the MacRobert Estate in Aberdeenshire. As well as a fine restaurant and luxury guest rooms in the main house, it has classic-contemporary apartments and holiday cottages, a health club and 17 acres of immaculate gardens.
It has just taken delivery of two Cushman Hauler Pro Elite electric vehicles to help staff navigate themselves and supplies around the award-winning site
Operations Manager, Jamie Aitken, said:
“The new carts replaced two existing ones. They are used almost exclusively by our housekeeping team and the technology and design are a noticeable step up from what we had before; everything about them suits.
“We contacted Fairways GM’s John Morton at the start of the week, and within 48 hours he had one brought here, so we could look. We chose to have both carts liveried with our name style which added a little time to the process, elsewise we could have had them in situ that week. John offered a genuinely good service.”
The housekeeping team make their first ‘run’ of the day from around 8.00 am with multiple journeys back and forward until around 4.00 pm.
“We put everything in our carts to make things easier. It’s mostly supplies, sheets and bedding for the cottages with the occasional camp bed. Lots of teabags and shortbread as well!”
