The last week in January is always an important diary booking - the British International Golf Greenkeepers’ Association Turf Maintenance Exhibition (BTME) at the Harrogate Convention Centre.
Dozens of turf machinery providers and allied sports businesses display their wares – so a vast array of machines, soil and seed developments and everything else from irrigation to golf course furniture is on show.
According to BIGGA, the golf industry in 2024 is changing faster than ever with new rules, technology and challenges posed by the economy and climate change.
Commenting on his visit, Rob Hogarth, Sales and Business Manager at Fairways GM said: “The show was strong with a high level of innovation on display.”
“It’s valuable to get a range of reactions and opinions to the new technologies that are coming through. You’d be surprised how many people travel to Harrogate from Scotland; it was a good opportunity to catch up with many familiar faces from the industry.”
