Dunfermline GC has opted for a Gambetti Eco Golf 300 litre tractor-mounted sprayer to replace their previous one. Head Greenkeeper, Kenny Duncan, said he had no hesitation in selecting another as their original had performed exactly as he’d wanted.
“The new one adheres to all necessary legislation, is light weight and sits well on the back of our compact tractor. I have every confidence it will do a fine job.”
“Our last one was just the basic model but this time we’ve taken the options for the foam marker kit and the hose reel, both necessary and helpful going forward.”
“Presently, it’s just me and greenkeeper, Sean Fotheringham, who have spraying qualifications, but we have plans to have at least one other staff member trained soon.”
Kenny has been at the parkland club for 31 years, 25 years in charge of the 18-hole Pitfirrane course and 9-hole par 3 short course. The Fife club, in the picturesque village of Crossford can trace its roots back to 1887 and Pitfirrane Castle, where the clubhouse is found, dates to 1583, and provides a majestic backdrop to the course.
Fairways GM’s Rob Hogarth, Regional Sales Manager, and Mike Lindsay, Area Sales Manager supplied sales and installation support for the purchase.
